I believe that beauty is 100% subjective. What one person finds beautiful, another person could find ugly or pretentious. Personally, I find anything that evokes me to feel emotion beautiful. Whether or not a sunset, a girl, or a picture is is beautiful to me us completely up to me and how I feel. I will use this in my essay by providing pictures that I have come across on Instagram that I would describe as beautiful, in my essay. I will also provide videos that I find beautiful from the internet. I will cite these by providing the website links and Instagram usernames.
Paragraph 1: Briefly describe how I feel about beauty. Will probably use a picture to demonstrate.
Thesis: Beauty is anything that can evoke emotion in an individual emotion. Whether it’s a picture of something that you connect with, the girl in your math class, or a picturesque sunset, beauty will always have an emotional tie to the person experiencing it.
Paragraph 2: Describe how armstrong has influenced my opinion of beauty.
“People are delighted by wildly variant things and that’s how it should be, the thinking goes – so don’t get worked up trying to figure out which things are beautiful.”
Paragraph 3: Describe Schiller and his ideology and how I find it interesting.
“Schiller is curious about what is going on in us when we respond with this distinctive, intimate thrill and enthusiasm that leads us to say ‘that’s beautiful’”
Use an image to convey how Schiller thought.
Paragraph 4-5: Describing my opinions of beauty and use pictures from instagram to express what I felt when I saw them.
Conclusion
I need help from my peers to determine what else I should add in order to make the word count.
Careful–try to be a little more specific about your definition of beauty. For example, ugly things provoke emotion, as well.
