The imposed context of this essay is both my purpose and personal experiences while reading it.  I agree completely with Ma’s opinion that school systems should have more of an emphasis on performing arts.  As a product of a public school system, I feel as though I have never been encouraged to express myself using arts.  I read this essay for an English assignment at my university.
  3. Internal context is Ma trying to express his feelings that arts are incredibly underused in STEM school systems.  He believes that if it was altered into a STEAM system it would be much more productive for some students, and how arts have made such an impact on his life.
