Introduction Critiques

During class we each wrote our introductions to our upcoming essay that is due next week.  Reading and critiquing other peoples introductions helped me in a couple ways.  First off, it made me realize that mine is way too short, maybe I will add some more background on Titus and Southan.  The other thing it helped me realize was that I need to state my opinion more clearly because the introduction sets the tone for the rest of the essay, and if my intro doesn’t clearly state my opinion then the reader may become confused while reading mine.  Giving positive feedback also created an outline of what does and doesn’t work in introductions.
